a chronicle of commodity prices

very disappointing. the book is essentially a chronicle of prices that commodities traded at in the early 1900s. This does not describe the principles behind Gann techniques but is merely descriptive of prices. To learn about Gann techniques such as natural squares, angles and financial astronomy, you will need to look elsewhere. I suspect that this book was written by Gann's son and not Gann himself. As a trader of leveraged commodity futures, I found this book thoroughly disappointing and I will stick with Elliott Wave for now. Further, even considering a stop loss that is one eighth of a range is not practical and risking 10 percent of one's capital on a single trade is very heavy handed in my opinion. Unfortunately, this book is not useful for understanding the real Gann and I will need to look to other Gann works.

Detailed, but Somewhat Dated

A very detailed coverage of Ganns works. It will require some patience to really understand the nature of his trading style.

Very heavily annoted with dates of trading entry and exits, which is helpful, but as commodity trading is concerned, very focused towards price action and technical analysis.

HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK

I cannot recommend this book enough, it was absolutely incredible. The entire book included applicable information and steps to take toward reclaiming your health. The research was backed by both science and experience from a practicing MD and the entire book was full of hope and encouragement!

As a nurse, I am exposed to the reality of conventional medicine everyday. Working in the ICU has been rewarding but also devastating seeing the number of lifestyle-related illnesses. Doctors are simply medicating symptoms, prescribing more medication for the side effects and our nation is continuing to get sicker. Dr. Myers’ approach sets her apart and this book offers an alternative approach that actually addresses the underlying causes of disease. Because autoimmunity is on the rise, I am grateful knowing that there are MD’s like Amy Myers that take a functional medicine approach and share the information with the world.

Also, some of the other autoimmune books referenced in previous reviews are great but NOTHING like this book. In fact one in particular is full of research and information and even with my medical background, I find it hard to comprehend and apply. The Autoimmune Solution doesn’t stop at the education part, and that is what sets it apart from any other book out there. Dr. Myers goes above and beyond to make sure that the reader can practically apply the knowledge and gives you a plan to carry it out. The recipes I have made are AMAZING. This book is now my motivation to take charge of my health, I have never been more excited to do so until reading this book!

Not only does Dr. Myers explain the causes of autoimmunity and share her story and real life examples, but also she equips the reader, educates and even empowers them to take health into their own hands. The program in the book includes a diet and a comprehensive approach to prevent all the factors that can lead to autoimmunity. Don’t even think about buying this book, just do it! Free of taking steroidal medicine in 30 years

This book is a must read if you have inflammation problems, skin disease, and/or allergies.

I've suffered from numerous allergies and a chronic skin condition, called Seborrheic dermatitis since I was a little kid. For over three decades I used steroidal medicine to alleviate the symptoms.

Last year, in August of 2015, I learned that I could treat the cause, not the symptoms from The Autoimmune Solution.

At first, the 30 day meal plan in the book seemed too hard to follow, so I started with gluten free and dairy for 30 days. Amazingly, just by doing that I was able to get off the medicine I used since I was thirteen.

The good results motivated me to keep pushing forward, so I eventually managed to do the 30-day mean plan in the book.
I am glad I did. After 30 days, I woke up one day, I had no joint/muscle pain in my body.

Currently, I am in the reintroduction of foods phase. Learning how I work with my body, not against it through changing diet is a mind-blowing experience. It has also taught me how little things make huge impacts on my body and mind.

Here are some of the side effects of eating real foods and avoiding fake foods that I have observed over the past year.

I've lost a total of 14 lbs/ 7kg that I had never been able to shed over the years.
Most importantly, I feel both wholesome and content. Also, extra bonus includes, glowing skin, diminished dark circles and the most fit body in my 40's. Something I had not known that it's even possible.

I cannot recommend the book too strongly

I must say that this is not a totally impartial review. Dr. Amy Myers is my daughter and I had a chance to read an advance copy of the book as a Christmas present.
I suffer from an autoimmune condition called inflammatory polymyositis. This condition is considered incurable but treatable. For a number of years I was treated with the conventional immune suppressant drugs: prednisone, methotrexate, and cell-cept. All of these had many serious and undesirable side effects but they did keep the condition under control. I resisted Amy's advice to change my diet for a period time but finally decided to give it a try. Because I was still taking the drugs it was impossible to tell if the gluten-free diet was having any positive effect. But then it became necessary for me to have a hip replacement. The surgeon was not willing to go ahead with the surgery until I got off the CellCept for one month. Unfortunately an infection developed after the surgery which necessitated getting off the methotrexate. The expectation was that the surgeries should have raised the blood markers for autoimmune. Eventually there were five surgeries on the hip and throughout the entire process the blood markers never rose but remain subclinical. I never went back on the immune suppressant drugs and I remain on a gluten and grain free diet today. I cannot recommend the book too strongly. I had the benefit of Dr. Amy's personal encouragement but for those without that opportunity, this book is a wonderful practical guide to the management of these autoimmune conditions. The six copies I ordered arrived in the mail this morning so I have a few to give away to friends. Buy the book and follow the plan. You will not be disappointed.

Learn about what came before numerical simulation

I would be happy to give this book five stars in that I have always liked its lively and excited presentations of events from the past. Yet truth is that it is biased towards Russian and English history, and sometimes it is more akin to story telling than to history. Nevertheless, these are fun stories, and for those that have read part of them elsewhere, these are entertaining remembrances. Likewise the math: if you have not read about these concepts elsewhere, the book might be difficult, but if you have, then you will appreciate the diversity.

Not great for a text book

This book was used as a text book in my social stratification class. I am not sure if its the book or just my professor, but the subject matter was really difficult to follow- and this is coming from a sociology major. Each chapter in this book is a story written from a different person about one of a cluster of topics. In the class, we were then tested on personal characteristics or opinions of the authors- not exactly what I would call academic. This would probably have been a good personal read, but I did not really enjoy it as a text book.

My advice as an Arabic student learning English. To everyone have difficulty in pronunciation or spilling English. To bay the book and this CD's, The book and CD's are made to teach you the English pronunciation but you can use them to improve your spilling skill by hearing the word and righting it while you see it in the book for two or three times, thin do the same with closing book.
Brief note, this CD's are deferent from the CD's were come with the book, The book CD's are just for practicing. Therefore they aren't include lessons word. So If you want to improve your skill you should have them.

About the Author

Robert A. Snyder holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland and is Professor of Management in the Haile/U.S. Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University. Dr. Snyder is the winner of the 2016 Michael A. and Elizabeth Ruane National Prize for Innovation in Business Education Writing. He also received The 2015 Fritz Roethlisberger Memorial Award for his writing in The Journal of Management Education.

Just buy this book

Very rarely do I "devour" a book on organizational change. As I read this book, I high-lighted, underlined, and folded pages left, right and center. There is so much packed in its 207 pages that it merits a re-read to apply all the knowledge bombs that the author provides... And re-reading this book will not be an eye sore as it's just so well written. Simple, to the point and ready for application, the author shows how social cognitive neuroscience begets us to rethink the way companies, and the people who work in them, function. He juxtaposes the recent findings of neuroscience with insights and personal anecdotes to provide us with actionable content. If anyone is involved in organizational change or just wants to figure how to work or lead better, this book is a superb guide, written in a way that is not disrespectful to the audience's lack of knowledge on the subject. Its all about context and in this case, I think all the context bases have been covered. Take a bow Robert!
